Summary:
Lakeland University invites applications for its Director of Annual Fund & Digital Philanthropy. Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement & University Relations (VPAUR), the Director is responsible for administering all aspects of the planning, directing, and implementing of a comprehensive annual giving program that reaches out to all of the University's constituencies, including trustees, businesses, foundations, alumni, faculty and staff, and friends of the University.
The Director is also responsible for developing strategies and leading the digital fundraising program for the Advancement team to meet growing revenue goals across email, web, digital ads, and other digital channels to acquire first-time donors and to retain, steward, and reactivate donors at both the annual donor and major gift levels.

Responsibilities:
- Plans, manages, and executes the University's annual giving program including all aspects of direct mail solicitations, all digital philanthropy initiatives, an annual giving day, a monthly giving program, and other opportunities as they develop.
- Ensures the recording, acknowledgement, and receipt of all annual gifts.
- Works closely with the Vice President and other Advancement staff on planning donor recognition, cultivation, and stewardship events and activities.
- Prepares an annual plan of operation for annual giving with quantifiable goals and objectives; prepares and submits an annual report on the activities and outcomes.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience managing or directing a comprehensive annual giving program, preferably in higher education.
- Proven experience in social media marketing, direct mail, face to face, and internet solicitation techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to relate to a diverse clientele. Computer literacy plus a knowledge of related software applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate degree
- Proven track record in identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors.
- Documented fundraising success.
- Experience working in higher education or other complex organization.
