Summary:
Van Horn Automotive Group Marketing Team has an outstanding opportunity for a Creative Lead!
The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining high standards for concept, design, presentation, execution, and development of campaigns and branding functions. He/she is also responsible for generating and maintaining website content, and supporting PR and social media initiatives.
A qualified candidate communicates messages effectively through the use of compelling layouts and ad copy. He/she is technically savvy with a high awareness of digital trends that can positively impact the business.
Responsibilities:
- Execute creative elements for Marketing campaigns that satisfy business needs and audience targets
- Develop email/direct mail campaigns, based on CRM data (ex. Services and Specials)
- Provide creative assets for web updates such as digital banners and new content areas
- Support events with graphics, banners, invitations, etc.
- Identify and review key performance metrics to apply learnings to other campaigns
- Work with Sales and Marketing associates to keep web content fresh and accurate
- Create digital design materials including: web banners, email blasts, coupons, social media graphics and presentation slides
- Create print design materials including: flyers, brochures, business cards, banners, billboards, posters and other point-of-sale items
- Manage production work through third party vendors
- Gain familiarity with auto manufacturer co-op guidelines for design approval
- Follow graphic standards for logo and design consistency
- Develop materials to support internal resources, including: emails, business cards, infographics, pdf/interactive pdf, PowerPoint presentations and microsites
- Assist with materials for community partnerships and sponsorships
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in a marketing department or advertising agency setting required
- 3+ years experience in a creative leadership role, leading a team of designers and developers required
- Strong understanding of design principles and best practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Presentation skills to articulate creative concepts and ideas
- Ability to work according to deadlines and manage multiple projects across several businesses
- Familiarity with rich media online ads, micro sites and social media applications
- Keen eye for photo correction and enhancement
- Experience with video editing and production preferred
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies
- Valid driver’s license required
